What is bonded warehousing and why do I need it?
Bonded warehousing allows goods to be stored in Egypt after arrival without paying import duties until they are formally released into the market. This is particularly useful for goods being imported for re-export, goods arriving before a project is ready to receive them, or large volume shipments where stock needs to be released in stages. POD manages the bonded entry, storage, and release process end-to-end.
Can I access my inventory in real time?
Yes. POD provides inventory status reporting for all goods held in our warehousing facilities. Your operations or supply chain team can track stock levels, receipts, and outbound movements — with reporting available on request or on a scheduled basis.
Does POD handle the delivery from the warehouse to the end customer?
Yes. Our ground transport operation covers last-mile delivery from warehouse to any address in Egypt — data centres, hospitals, offices, retail locations, or project sites. This is managed by the same team that handled the clearance and warehousing, with no handoff to external carriers.
